Aztec Welding & Fabrications was established in 1984 as a specialist metal fabrication company.
From 1989, carbon fibre composite components were also produced and demand grew rapidly.
To meet this demand, Aztec Composites Ltd was formed in 1997 and with a continued increase in orders for composite parts, the company moved to new, larger, custom built premises on January 1st 2000. In October 2006 Aztec Composites doubled it’s floor area to 13,000 square feet, allowing expansion of the in-house toolroom and laminating departments. November 2008 saw the investment of an ultrasonic cutting machine enabling complex shapes to be cut in tough materials such as zylon and kevlar. A new autoclave (1m diameter x 2m long) was commissioned in July 2009 and the Trim Shop and Quality departments were also expanded.

Future plans include the procurement of a programmable CNC CMM.
These are just some of the things that demonstrate Aztec’s continual investment into providing solutions to support our customers ever evolving requirements.
